5 Points newcomer has many alluring charms

Put on your flats, take some time, and browse, browse, browse newly opened Charming Charlie. The 11,600-square-foot space is filled with necklaces, bracelets, earrings, purses, sunglasses, clothes, shoes ... and more.

It's all color-coordinated. Need a red necklace to match your outfit? Just head for the red sections. I spent over an hour checking it all out and found some excellent deals.

My dilemma was what to choose. A clunky metal necklace or delicate silver owl pendant? A pink flowered purse or a rose feathered clutch? The choices seemed endless.

At the end of my excursion, I bought two necklaces, one ring, a pair of sunglasses and a purse for my niece. My total bill was under $55. Be patient this time of year ... parking can be a little difficult, but worth the wait to visit this very cool store at Five Points Plaza.

Holiday spa special

Snow time

Lots going on for the holidays at Bella Terra. Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night at 7 p.m., see a free show called "The Magic of Snow." It's got special effects, and lots of music.
